Introduction
I am a teacher and writer, mainly in the field of metaphysics. I have been a spiritual counsellor and a practitioner of Holistic Healing for 40 years, in the course of which, I conducted some 900 public lectures, seminars and training courses on the healing power of the mind.
Most of my work, therefore, deals with the different aspects of that power, how to develop it and how to use it.
I have had other occupations, interests and trainings; also I have lived in three continents, in cities, in villages and in open countryside. Over the years I have observed the changing state of the world, sometimes with admiration, sometimes with desperation, sometimes with participation, and usually with humour.
The rest of my writings reflect these other aspects.
My Personal Philosophy
I believe that there exists a Power totally beyond our ability to imagine.
It is the Ultimate Power, the Absolute Power, the Creative Source of all there is. It has
always been, is now, and always will be.
It preceded everything that we can discern or describe or define. Having created everything out of Itself,
it does not have a human form or any other form that we know of.
It is instantly available to every one of us, whether we know it or not, because we are in It and It is within us. What is more, even though we may not consciously be aware of what we are doing, It responds to our every clearly-stated declaration, wish or demand for ourselves, delivering good or evil to us according to our deepest desires.
“There is a Power for good in the Universe greater than I, and I can use it,” says Raymond Charles Barker.
We may say of it “There is a Power in the Universe” yet It created the Universe and is therefore larger than the Universe. Thus we cannot even guess how many universes there may be. It is a Power for Good, and cannot know Evil because Evil is destructive, not creative.
My writings and lectures – even my Intensive Holistic Therapy practice – focus on our innate goodness, how we may have attracted or created evil, and how we free ourselves of evil. My work is devoted not only to healing, but to revealing - the truth about life, and the living of it.
