Josh

The Master from Foreva

Josh By A I Kornblum

A relief schoolmaster appears out of the blue, just when the Mount Hotwater village teacher has been taken seriously ill. He disappears into the blue even more suddenly as she returns. In his twelve-week tenure, Josh Murlon teaches the children their prescribed syllabus – and much that is beyond it.

Readers discover that Josh actually comes from the planet Foreva in Outer Space, where he is known as Ishemet Amorimurlon.
He employs a series of stories, activities and adventures to convince the children that salvation has to come from within. He lays no blame on individuals, corporations or governments for the current parlous state of the world. Rather, he points out that the responsibility is everyone’s - the greedy, the needy, the idle, the disinterested and the accepting. He teaches them that responsibility for healing the planet also depends on everyone – starting with the 15 pupils at Mount Hotwater Village School.

The three different styles – fable, direct speech and verse, help spell out the need for respect and compassion in order to achieve a change of attitude. Each of the 14 chapters deals with a different subject, which becomes a base for imparting additional information.

This unusual and powerful book, totaling 60,000 words, is particularly relevant in the light of the pending climate change. The saving of Planet Earth will not occur “out there” until change has occurred within each of us.
